Music Ministry

Saint Michael's offers many opportunities to serve the Lord through music. Our choirs and instrumental ensembles welcome those who love to make music to the glory of God.

The Alleluia Choir is the main choir, leading worship most Sundays and at special services throughout the year. This group does four-part harmonies (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) and covers many different styles of music from classical to contemporary. They are open to teens and adults. They rehearse on Wednesdays 7:30 PM - 9:00

The Heavenly Rockers is a children's choir, open to children from age 4 through sixth grade. Besides singing, they frequently use bells, chimes and percussion instruments. In addition to singing special songs and leading parts of the liturgy, the Rockers participate in the Quakertown Children's Choir Festival on the first Sunday of May. Parents of younger children are asked to stay for the rehearsal time, which is Tuesdays 6:30 PM - 7:15 PM.

The Bells on the Hill is a handbell and chime choir. They ring three octaves of Schulmerich handbells and Malmark hand chimes. Interested ringers should be fourth grade or older and should have some music reading ability, most especially rhythm reading. They rehearse Tuesdays 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM.

In addition, out choir participates with the Saints on the Hill, which is a combined choir with members from Saint Michael's, Saint Agnes Roman Catholic Church, and Saint Paul's United Church of Christ. Together they lead worship and present special music for the Community Thanksgiving Eve service. Everyone is welcome, regardless of whether you participate with one of the other choirs.
