Service Teams

Sunday School and Vacation Bible School
Contact Person: Barbara Nemecek
Sunday School is held from 9:15 AM to 10:15 AM each Sunday Morning during the school year. Children ages 3 and up. Adults are invited to grow in Christ and to share their faith with one another. Intergenerational topics are sometimes offered during the summer months.
VBS is planned jointly with St. Paul's UCC and is open to ages preschool through adult.

Learning Team
Contact Person: Rocky Griffo
This team oversees the Sunday School program and is comprised primarily of Sunday School teachers. It meets, at a minimum, of three times per school year.

Women's Group (WELCA)
Contact Person:
Meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:30 PM. This group plans several programs throughout the church including the annual Mother/Child Banquet. It also is responsible for the Altar Team scheduling and set-up.

Church Council
Contact Person: Gil Hulme, President; Terry Alburger, Vice-President; Tim Snyder, Treasurer
Council meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month, 7 PM, and acts as the church board of directors. It monitors and implements the spiritual needs of the congregation and approves financial matters such as budget adherence, etc.

Stewardship Team
Contact Person:
This team has the oversight in increasing participation in the life of St. Michael's. This is accomplished through the stimulation of the Spiritual Gifts, (financial, time & talents) of its members.

Service Team
Contact Person: Susan Hazel
This team meets the first Thursday of every month. Its purpose is to provide service to the church, its congregation, the local and worldwide community and to those persons who need assistance.

Property Team
Contact Person: Dana Baker
This team meets on the 1st Thursday of every month at 7:00PM. The property team either directly undertakes or supervises a wide range of general maintenance tasks throughout the church facility. These tasks include general clean-up activities and maintenance tasks that need completion as various church equipment or the physical structure warrants repair or replacement.

Witness Team
Contact Person: Holly DeCoursey
This team meets on the 1st Thursday of every month. The Witness committee actively searches for and identifies the unchurched in our community. We invite them to share in our faith by worshipping with us, and if they are interested, help them along the path toward membership and life within the congregation.

Finance Team
Contact Person: Hal Spoerl
The purpose is to develop and maintain a financial plan that best utilizes the resources of the Congregation to enable St. Michael's to effectively carry out its mission. It meets the 1st Thursday of each month.

Worship Team
Contact Person:
Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of the month at 7 PM. Its purpose is to help the Pastor, organist and the congregation in planning meaningful worship services.

Kitchen Team
Contact Person: Bob Coll
Coordinates meal preparation and clean-up for the monthly dinners.

Monthly Dinners in the Church Fellowship Hall

Monthly fellowship dinners to build up care and concern for one another. Occasional entertainment is provided

Children's, Bell and Senior Choirs

Heavenly Rockers (Children K-6)
Tuesdays: 7:30 PM- Bells on the Hill (handbell choir)
Wednesdays: 7 PM - Alleluia Choir - usually part-singing, many kinds of music, the main choir of the church.
Festival Choir - prepares music for special Festival services (Christmas Eve, Easter)
Saints on the Hill - ecumenical choir from St. Michael's, St. Agnes RC Church, St. Paul's UCC - all "on the hill" in Sellersville - prepares music for the community Thanksgiving Eve service, occasional community programs, and special concerts.
