Worship

At Saint Michael's we endeavor to provide diversified worship experiences that will meet the needs of all members by proclaiming the Gospel through storytelling , drama, visual arts, music and prayer. We use the form of the Lutheran liturgy but vary the music in order to meet the various needs of our congregation. The service is printed in the bulletin and is easy to follow.

Holy Communion is celebrated at both services, using wine or grape juice and bread, on the first Sunday of each month and on feast days throughout the year.

Our nursery welcomes all children from newborn to kindergarten and is available during the second service.

Lamb of God

Your only Son, no sin to hide,
But you have sent him from your side,
To walk upon this guilty sod
And to become the Lamb of God.

Refrain:
O Lamb of God, sweet Lamb of God,
I love the holy Lamb of God.
O wash me in your precious blood,
My Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God.

Your gift of love we crucified.
We laughed and scorned him as he died.
The humble king we named a fraud
And sacrificed the Lamb of God.

I was so lost, I should have died,
but you have brought me to your side.
To be led by your staff and rod
And to be called a lamb of God.

Lamb of God

This is a song we are learning in Sunday School.
It will be the Hymn of the Day on March 9 (next Sunday!)
Singing Sunday School will be teaching this song to the congregation at the Children's sermon that morning. We will be using bells along with the song, so please be a couple of minutes early for Sunday School so we can get it organized, and plan on being in church that day!
Meanwhile: help your kids learn the words, especially of verse 1 and the refrain.

Special note: your kids asked about the words in the third line of the refrain. They want to know what they mean. What would you tell them?

Spring ahead next weekend!!! (March 9th)
