The Mission of St. Michael's is "to Live God's Word Daily."
What does this mean?
As followers of Christ, we seek to put arms and legs on our faith, putting faith into action through worship, spiritual formation, and the loving service of our neighbor. At St. Michael's, we delight in sharing God's love in our homes, neighborhoods, community, and even around the world.
From right here in the heart of Sellersville, we aim to spread God's love, reaching to the ends of the earth. We regularly take part locally in feeding the hungry with Pennridge FISH, and sheltering the homeless through Keystone Opportunity Center and Habitat for Humanity. Regionally, we partner with congregations all over Southeastern PA to serve the youth, homeless, and elderly. We support Silver Springs/Martin Luther School to serve emotionally disturbed youth, reach out to the homeless at the Welcome Church in Center City Philadelphia, and visit and care for our beloved seniors at the Lutheran Community at Telford. Nationally and internationally, we join the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) to spread God's love around the world, mainly through endeavors such as Lutheran World Relief, Lutheran Disaster Relief, Church World Service/CROP Walk for Hunger, ELCA Malaria Campaign, and ELCA World Hunger. Together, with brothers and sisters in Christ, we make a difference by doing "what we can, where we are, with what we have."
Toward that end, we strive to build Community with Jesus and others; be Rooted in Prayer; be Open to God's Spirit and to Others; Serve one Another; and become fluent in the language of Scripture. We can easily remember these values as our "C-R-O-S-S" principles.
We encourage all our members and friends to worship the Lord regularly with all your heart, to grow in faith, and to serve all people according to the example of Jesus.
