Worship Services
Sunday Morning Worship
Our traditional worship service uses the form of the Lutheran liturgy. The service is printed in the bulletin and is easy to follow. We vary the music in reflection of the church season.
Our contemporary service is a more relaxed, modern, interactive setting. Worshippers are free to get up and get coffee, snacks, etc. The band leads us in contemporary Christian music.
Holy Communion is celebrated weekly and on feast days throughout the year at all services using wine or grape juice and bread. We practice "open" communion, wherein all who profess their faith in Christ are welcome to partake, regardless of their church affiliation.
Christmas Eve Services
St. Michael's offers 2 Christmas Eve services. The early evening service is family-oriented and often interactive with the children featuring modern and traditional Christmas carols and songs.
The later service is a more traditional candlelight Christmas Eve service with traditional Christmas carols.
Lenten Services
During the Lenten season St. Michael's offers several special worship and fellowship opportunities.
There is an evening Ash Wednesday service to start the Lenten season. Then, beginning the following Wednesday and extending every Wednesday evening until Palm Sunday, we host a soup and sandwich supper and fellowship time, followed by a brief worship service.
On Good Friday we offer an evening worship service. And, of course, the traditional Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday morning services are on their respective Sundays.
